(under revision) Caitlyn was the only heir to the throne born because her mother passed away. Left to live in the shadows of her castle, her father only worried about teaching her what he believed was important to rule. He didn't remarry to try for a son, bitter and more powerful than ever. Because he had nothing to lose, not even his own daughter at times. Caitlyn and him drifted apart even more than they were before. Especially as he started treating her solely as an object for his use. Leading her to need some type of escape, some type of fun again. And as her skills in her shot, her strength, and her wit increased. So did her confidence and her will to win, leading her to start sneaking out of the castle gates. Almost every night scaling the buildings and walls to watch the night life in the upper city. Until one night when an incident occurs, causing her to accidentally run into someone. Revealing herself to a complete stranger. Knowing full well that a predicament would arise if that ever happened, she fumbles her way through compromise and bargains to get off easy. But of course, life throws you curve balls and nothing is ever easy. But maybe...maybe that's for the better. ⚠️This is a mature story with mature themes and scenes. Vi saw her and knew. Caitlyn saw Vi...and everything got complicated. One grew up in the South Side, where dreams don't survive. The other was raised in luxury, where perfection was a cage. They stand together for years, caught in the gravity of what's never said. But something has been waiting in the dark - and it's finally reaching for them. Will they ever name the light they've always kept hidden? "Vi swallowed thickly, her heartbeat pounding so loud in her temples it drowned out everything else. It felt like it was pumping molten gold; dense, burning, and unbearably precious. She was a paradox made flesh. A hurricane of stillness. Chaos flooding in perfect harmony. How could something so dizzying, so immense, feel so soothing? How could the tight knot in her throat be the only thing keeping her grounded? Nothing seemed to exist but the sheer need to answer those damn questions. Two forces crammed into a space too tight not to clash."

Vi took a step closer, voice teasing. "Why does it bother you, hmm?" Caitlyn hated how her heart sped up. She looked away, grumbling, "Because... because you're supposed to be loyal to me." Vi's smirk faltered slightly. Caitlyn crossed her arms tighter. "I mean-not that we ever had anything. But still! You-You can't just..." She trailed off, biting her lip. Vi studied her for a long moment. "Caitlyn." Caitlyn refused to meet her gaze. Vi sighed, softer now. "I'm single, okay?" Caitlyn swallowed. Vi hesitated before continuing. "But yeah, I... I do love someone." Caitlyn hiccupped, rubbing at her eyes furiously. Vi reached for her, concerned. "Caitlyn, why are you-" "I knew it!" Caitlyn blurted, voice wobbling. Vi blinked. "Knew what?" Caitlyn sniffled. "You do love someone! And-and now I have to compete with them?" Vi opened her mouth-then shut it, utterly baffled. "I-what?" Caitlyn grabbed Vi's hands. "Just-just love me instead!" ---- Caitlyn Kiramman has everything-fame, fortune, and a career that keeps the world watching. But with the spotlight comes danger, and when a series of anonymous threats escalate, her security team hires Violet, a former underground fighter with a no-nonsense attitude and a past she refuses to talk about. Violet is everything Caitlyn isn't-rough, unpredictable, and infuriatingly stubborn. From their first meeting, sparks fly, but not the good kind. Caitlyn finds her bodyguard impossible, while Violet sees Caitlyn as just another spoiled celebrity. But as danger looms closer, forced proximity turns tension into something neither of them expected-lingering touches, stolen glances, and a protectiveness that goes beyond duty. When Caitlyn is put in real danger, Violet will have to face the truth: guarding Caitlyn was never just a job. But in a world where Caitlyn shines brightest under flashing cameras and Violet prefers the shadows, can they find a way to stand together?

Caitlyn Kiramman never cared for backstage passes or band obsessions. A quiet photography student with a sharp eye and a quieter voice, she preferred shooting stillness over spectacle, until she's selected to join the internationally adored rock band Impulse for a two-week tour as their behind-the-scenes documentarian. She expects noise, chaos, and late nights. She doesn't expect Vi - the band's inked-up, playfully flirtatious guitarist who commands every room without trying. Nor does she expect the slow unraveling of herself, her silence, or the lies she's told to survive her relationship with Nick, the older boyfriend who never yells but always wounds. As the tour pulses forward, lit by neon, shaped by sound, shadowed by secrets, Caitlyn learns that love doesn't have to feel like fear, and sometimes, the lens captures more than you're ready to see. A story about music, manipulation, and the kind of intimacy that burns slow and bright. *Art cover by Tamias栗 on ArtStation.
