James was 14 and almost got put as king as King Philip almost passed along with his wife Queen Kristen, sadly Queen Kristen didn't make it cause she fell ill after the first time, King Philip found Rowan on the road and adopted him making Rowan the 4th in line to the throne.(This is mine on here and AO3, but this one is DSMP)
