What's that? you wanna hear a 14-year-old talk about her bad life experiences? Well, boy your in luck! This is essentially just a place I'm gonna vent since I refuse to talk to any therapist, family member or school counsellor! This is the only trigger warning you're gonna see. I talk a lot about self-harm, eating disorders, suicide thoughts/attempts, and I want it known that in no way am I trying to show off or glorify my mental health problems. I just want a free place to put my thoughts, and maybe find people who relate? So...yeah, happy readings!

Violet never expected Hawkins to become home. At fifteen, Violet is all sharp edges and survival instincts, black cropped hair that she cut herself, band tees, fishnets covering the scars along her arms, heavy eyeliner, and a glare strong enough to make most people back off. People call her difficult. Angry. Trouble. Truth is, Violet, learned a long time ago that trusting people only gets you hurt. After a violent night leaves her with nowhere safe to go, her social worker somehow finds three people who are probably the worst possible choice ever to raise a teenager Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, and Billy Hargrove. Steve tries way too hard to hold everything together. Eddie acts like rules are optional and keeps teaching Violet bad habits while pretending he's the "fun parent." Billy swears he doesn't care about anyone, yet somehow becomes the first person awake whenever Violet has nightmares. None of them know what they're doing. Especially when Hawkins starts getting worse again. Between late-night panic attacks, school fights, hospital visits, monsters lurking beneath the town, and three overprotective idiots willing to burn the world down for her, Violet slowly realizes something terrifying This might actually be what a family feels like, but in Hawkins, nothing good stays easy for long......
