Ethan Chase is a firefighter who works alongside Drake Matthews. When Ethan's grandmother wants him to meet her former neighbor, Ethan isn't a fan of the idea. Stella Harper works at the Harper Eatery as a chef alongside Ryden and Daria. She loves throwing together dishes for the customers that tantalize their tastebuds. After Ethan moves into his grandmother's old apartment, he discovers his neighbor has been leaving him cookies as a welcome to the neighborhood. When his neighbor doesn't show interest in him, he starts to pursue her until slams on the brakes. When Ethan shows up at the restaurant a date, she overhears him comment about her weight. Realizing Ethan is like the guys Stella date, she avoids him like the plague. Ethan will discover he made a mistake about putting on the brakes with Stella.
