Danielle Grant, 24, has just landed her dream job as a Crisis Intervention Social Worker at LAFD's Station 118. But her excitement is short-lived-because her new captain is Bobby Nash, the father who hasn't recognized her since a fire took half their family seven years ago. Bobby's memory of Danielle was erased by trauma, and in his grief, he rebuilt his life-with a new wife, new stepkids, and no space for the daughter he forgot. Now, forced to work beside him, Danielle struggles to balance professionalism with heartbreak, hiding her true identity and the scars of her past. Enter Evan "Buck" Buckley-Bobby's golden boy and fiercely loyal protégé. Buck instantly feels threatened by Danielle's presence, and the two clash with intense chemistry and simmering resentment. Watching from the sidelines is Eddie Diaz, Buck's best friend and a devoted single dad. Eddie sees through Danielle's walls, and their connection builds slowly-until one kiss changes everything. As emotions spiral and lines blur, Danielle finds herself torn between two men-and two futures. What starts as rivalry, resentment, and unresolved grief slowly evolves into something unexpected: love, healing, and the possibility of a family made from the ashes. In the end, maybe love isn't a choice. Maybe it's a collision. And maybe the only way forward is together. Book cover and synopsis are generated by ChatGPT. When Rachel Sloan decided to be a firefighter it was definitely a shock to a lot of Rachel's family. Growing up in a family full of doctors most expected her to do the same. Her father was known for being a world class plastic surgeon. After all, he was the Mark Sloan. Her mother Ariana was a neurosurgeon who was damn good at her job. Rachel grew up with her cousin Noah Shepherd since her dad was best friends with his parents. Derek Shepherd and Addison Montgomery were married for over ten years but Addison had an affair with Mark. After that Derek took Noah and moved to Seattle. About a year later Mark went and brought Rachel with him. The trip became a permanent thing and Rachel enjoyed Seattle. That was until it quickly became chaos. After dealing with so much death and nearly dying multiple times she couldn't take it anymore. Of course the genes of being a doctor stayed in her and she went to med school at 17. She completed her intern year but halfway through residency realized she wasn't doing what she wanted. So she became a paramedic first then a firefighter. She joined the 118 when she was twenty five and had been there since. Moving to L.A was a change but it was one she was happy with. Everything was going smoothly until a certain blonde walked into the firehouse named Evan Buckley.

AURELIA ALVAREZ has been best friends with Eddie Diaz since birth. With their mothers being close, Lia and Eddie grew up knowing just about everything about the other, but there was always one thing Eddie didn't know about Lia, and that was that, since the age of fourteen, she's been hopelessly in love with him. But he, at the same age, met another, and years later, when reunited, Lia watched from the sidelines as her best friend married a woman she cares for, but also a woman she's envious of. Even when he became a father at nineteen, Lia's feelings never changed, but she always remained at his side, always remaining his "best friend". She was there when his wife left, when his son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, when he was in the army, when he struggled to make ends meet, and was even there when he makes a decision to move to Los Angeles. Taking a job at LA County Hospital as a nurse, supporting her best friend in his decision and journey to move, she consequently puts herself in a far worse position, her feelings only growing stronger the more time she spends with him, the more time she takes care of his son, and the more time she gets lost in this idea of hope. After all, he'd never, ever feel the same about her, not when his heart belongs to somebody else. ( eddie diaz x fem!o.c ) ( best friends to lovers ) ( 9-1-1 seasons 2 - ? ) © 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐛𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
