"Careful, Detective-nim. Keep looking at me like that and I might think you like me." A blood-soaked box. A severed head. No fingerprints. No body. Just a single note: π—™π—œπ—‘π—— π— π—˜. Officer Park Nyra is known for solving the unsolvable-but this case? It's taunting her. Villainess's Vengeance ~ A Rebirth Story previously known as Left at the Altar ~ Rebirth of the Villainess. *** "Vi... Viaan, please don't do this.. don't leave me, please come back. It's our wedding day. Plea...please I'm begging you." "Do not ever call me again, Ira. It's over between us." The line went dead. That was all it took for him to left me at the Altar for her. *** ~ A REBIRTH STORY From childhood, Ira Veyansh was always compared to Niya Kapadia. Niya ~ the maid's daughter who could do everything better. Studies, sports, looks, manners, obedience, everything. Everyone loved Niya. Ira parents, her brothers, even the family celebrated her like she was one of their own. Birthdays, dinners, small achievements... the praise always went to Niya. "Ira, you should be more like Niya." "I wish Niya was my sister." "Take a lesson from Niya." Day by day, Ira felt invisible. Starved for love and attention, she did things she shouldn't have, hurt Niya, humiliated her, even darker. But nothing worked. Then came Viaan. Her childhood love. The one she thought would finally make her happy. But he chose Niya too. The pain and humiliation were too much for her to handle. That night, walking alone in the rain after being abandoned at her own wedding, Ira was hit by a truck. A brutal accident that ended her life. But life gave her a second chance. A rebirth. She remembered everything. Every insult. Every betrayal. Every heartbreak. And somewhere in that second life... there is this man. Reevan. A man she was never meant to cross paths with. Forbidden. Yet somehow... tied to her fate. Now, the question is, will she let fate repeat itself, or will she change her story?

Book 1 of The Art Of Ruins. "Don't touch me!" she spat voice trembling with pain & fury. "Am I not allowed to touch my fiancée when she is in pain?" he asked in low voice. Her eyes snapped up to his-wet & furious, "I AM NOT YOUR FIANCÉE!" He tilted his head slightly, eyes darkening "Are you not?" His voice dropped-taunting & dangerous "Because I clearly know you wore my ring." "That night, it was-" His voice cut through her "I didn't ask for an explanation" He leaned closer so close she felt his breath along her cheek "I said what had happened." Her hand trembled harder, her fingers curled unintentionally into his sleeve again, the heat from his chest pressed against her weakened body. "I made you wear that ring infront of everyone present there." "Taeh-" she whispered, overwhelmed both by pain & by how close he was. Her fingers gripped him harder-not out of affection but 'cause she need something solid to hold onto. His voice lowered-dark & intimate, "But I know whom I held, whom I kissed." Her entire face flushed crimson with humiliation and anger, she tried pulling away again but her legs failed her so she stayed pressed into him, trapped, helpless. "So that makes you..." He leaned in lips inches from her ear voice a whisper of dominance, "My fiancée." "I HATE YOU!" she burst out a tear slipped out-unbidden, unwanted. His eyes flickered to the tear, then back to hers, The corner of his mouth lifted just a ghost of a smirk, "Does that change anything?" She shook her head violently, losing balance again, he caught her waist and pulled her upright. "No...don't!" she whimpered, grabbing his shirt to steady herself again, her body betrayed her at every second. "Hate me more," he whispered. Her pupils dilated in furious bewildered way that she couldnt comprehend what to say. "Hate is a feeling," he murmured thumb brushing the back of her arm as he steadied her "And my fiancée should have feelings for me."
