La storia è ambientata dopo gli avvenimenti di ERRANT-SAGA (non è obbligatorio leggerla). Dopo lo sterminio dell'umanità, venne creata una nuova razza senziente sul pianeta vivente Pollut-1 , questa razza: i Faultborne, cioè coloro nati dall'errore. Questa razza era divisa in varie sottorazze, ognuna con caratteristiche diverse. Inoltre la civiltà è meritocratica e divide i cittadini sulla base del talento, chi lo possiede può vivere liberamente, chi invece non lo possiede è trattato come il bestiame. Il protagonista venduto dal padre alla potente associazione Dominus, cercherà di vendicarsi di quest'ultima cercando di uccidere tutti coloro che ne fanno parte. Perché essa aveva sperimentato su di lui e sulla madre, portando quest'ultima alla morte.

The story is set in a modern era in a world similar to our own, this story talks about Hideki Arada, a normal student at the Tokugawa Daigaku highschool. After his father's death, he began investigating to find out the truth about the latter's death. He could've never imagined that a simple wish would've lead him to discover the side of the world that he thought was normal. Thanks to help of a misterious sword left by his father, he will find himself having to deal with creatures made out of pure energy: the Errants. Many other humans besides him are able to see them, and they created a secret society in order to kill them: E.H.S (Errants Hunters Society). The ones who work there are known as Errhunters.
