Lennon Jones has always thought John Logan was a disaster waiting to happen. Charming, reckless, and completely incapable of making a good decision when emotions are involved, Logan spends most of his time pretending he's fine while secretly spiraling over one very inconvenient problem: he's in love with Hannah Wells, the longtime girlfriend of his best friend and hockey captain, Garrett Graham.
Logan knows nothing can ever happen between them. Hannah loves Garrett, Garrett trusts Logan like a brother, and crossing that line would destroy everything. So when rumors about Logan's feelings start circulating around campus, Lennon agrees to help him shut them down by pretending to be his girlfriend. Simple enough. At least, that's what they tell themselves.
But fake dating John Logan turns out to be far more complicated than Lennon expected. Suddenly there are staged dates that feel a little too real, lingering touches that last too long, and quiet moments where Logan looks at her like he's trying to forget someone else entirely. And somewhere between hockey games, fake kisses, and the slow collapse of Logan's carefully buried feelings, Lennon starts realizing the boy hopelessly chasing the wrong girl may have been looking at the right one all along.
