'Solitude' Philosopher Philip Koch defined it as "A stretch of experience disengaged from other people in perception, thought, emotion, and action" Solitude is an experience that can exist regardless of physical location, defined by the "absence" of other people, internally otherlessness, a spiritual/philosophical concept regarding the dissolution of self and a literary/existential term for extreme isolation. At forty-five, Professor Loredana Dove has built her life on control. Keeping her colleagues at arm's length and her students at a distance. At home, her marriage to an absent, quarrelsome wife is crumbling, leaving her to raise their five year old daughter in quiet isolation. She has convinced herself she needs nothing more until Romina Maple crashes into her classroom. Nineteen smart, and reckless, Romina is the youngest in her year. To her classmates she's the loud, infuriating party girl; to herself, she's struggling with mental health, taking care of her three year old brother and the only responsible adult in a house run by aging grandparents, her defiance masks hunger, her insolence disguises fear. Their lives should never touch. Yet hunger recognizes hunger. What begins as irritation morphs into fascination, into a closeness neither woman knows how to resist. Boundaries blur. Rules splinter. And both must face the truth: some desires do not starve quietly, and some silences can undo a lifetime of control. Our Shared Solitude is a story of two women who should have walked away yet found themselves consumed by the one thing they were never meant to want.

When Esmerelda Harlow steps into the musty halls of Winston High as the new history teacher, with a reputation for being a bitter and arrogant professor, whispers of her arrival ripple through the school. Students are wary, until the reckless student Cameron Monroe allows her interest to morph. Cameron, the school's untouchable rebel with a reputation for detention and carelessness, with a game of causing disturbances. To her, Esmerelda Harlow is just another target-a seemingly uptight woman with strict rules and an aura of authority begging to be challenged. But when Cameron tries her usual antics, she's met with something entirely unexpected: resistance. Esmerelda is not an easy mark. In fact, she's more than Cameron bargained for. Cool-headed and emotionless. Every sarcastic remark is met with calm but devastating wit. Every act of defiance earns a punishment so perfectly tailored, it leaves Cameron seething-and strangely fascinated. Esmerelda sees through Cameron's rebellious exterior to the restless mind beneath it. Cameron, for all her bravado, finds herself caught in Esmerelda's gravitational pull-her intelligence, her poise, and her charm. But Esmerelda isn't here to play games. She's here to teach Cameron a lesson she'll never forget, one that will leave them both questioning the boundaries of power, desire, and control. In the end, it's not just Cameron's life that Esmerelda will upend, -it's her own. In a town where reputations are everything, what happens when two unstoppable forces collide in one university?

Temptation had always been Lily's hamartia... Just starting her final year of high school, never did she expect to plummet so deep and become so sinfully bound to someone so narcotic yet maliciously heavenly as her. Consequences so seemingly inconsequential, it was futile for Lily to ignore the allure of such an elegant woman. After all, how could she defy a connection so transcendent beyond what words can fathom, and something so... 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵. 𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐱 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. Manhattan belongs to 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞. At twenty-three, she is New York's most visible success story: a fashion prodigy with Vogue covers, private fittings, and a reputation polished to perfection. However, beneath the structure, Soleil is volatile. Petty. Bratty. Childish. Defiant in ways that don't belong in the world she dominates, and far less interested in discipline than she is in breaking it. When her father remarries, Soleil gains a step-sister she neither asked for nor intends to tolerate. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 is eighteen, newly arrived in Manhattan, and deeply rooted in one of the city's most visible religious circles. She moves through sanctuaries and society with quiet certainty, guided by devotion, restraint, and something far more rigid than faith. Willow does not bend, and when she cannot control something, she destroys it. They do not want to understand each other. But in a city that thrives on performance, the line between temptation and control becomes dangerously easy to cross.

The seduction dripped off of her tongue, just like I desired to be, her low voice entrancing me with the dangerously sadistic melodies of a siren song, with the most terribly sinful lyrics. "I could kill you right now, Angel." She inched closer towards me. "Right here," she said, her eyes raking over my body, sizing me up, slowly. The lustful grey in them soon lifted back up, intimidating mine. Her harsh words screamed murderous intent, but the look in her eyes whispered a different kind of sin. I couldn't tell whether my breath hitched at her cruel threat, or the yearning pulse between my... She interrupted my stream of consciousness, poisoning it with every still second, keeping her gaze on mine as her depraved hand reached out to caress the bruised side of my neck. "But I have something else in mind." ──────────────────── No one ever says it out loud. What she really is. Dangerous. Heartless. Merciless. A murderer. Everyone knows it. And now, she's in control. There are only so many people who kill their way to the top and get away with it. But there are things far more dangerous than power. Things not only worth killing for, but dying for. Seduction. Obsession. Love? Angeline Kelleher, her new secretary, seems to be the only one reckless enough to question her. To stand too close. To look too long. Unfortunately for Angeline, sin itself was designed to allure. Some urges were never meant to be denied, and resisting the sexual temptation of the devil is not an easy sport. But resisting falling in love may be even harder, especially with someone she wasn't sure was even capable of such a feeling... Hopefully 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 angel doesn't fall and break her wings. "Is this what you wanted? To be taken from behind on my desk like a slut?" She demanded, tightening her grip around my hair, pulling my head back. "Look at me, Eden." My eyes met hers, and I almost shivered as I was met with the undeniable lust behind them that replaced her anger mere seconds ago. "I just like pissing you off, I guess." I smiled innocently, alluding to her previous question. Her eyes darkened, before letting go of my hair and grabbing my throat instead. I felt her fingertips trail over over my soaked underwear, and a moment later she brought one of my hands to my core, instructing me to hold the lace fabric to the side, as she began to slowly circle my wetness, before dipping two fingers inside me without warning. My eyes rolled back, a moan escaping my lips as I whispered her name. "God, my name sounds like a sin on your lips." She purred over me, curling her fingers inside me, while thumbing my dripping core. - An innocent waitress, a flirt of a mafia boss, and a relentless string of...well, problems. A fun little story to read, very gay, with plenty of romance, as well as - dare I say - humor. 🏅RANKINGS🏅 #2 lesbian #7 wlw

"I've never been with a woman before." I was an echo chamber to her words as I made my admission shyly, looking away as my face grew hot with embarrassment. I wasn't lying. I never had been with a woman before. Especially not an older, well respected and successful woman. Vivian Black took me by my chin, forcing me to look her in the eyes, "Let me change that." I watched and allowed her to trace circles into my hip, "What about the men I told you about? She let out a small laugh, her lips now on my neck and her hand in between my legs, "I'll make you forget all about them."

Sharp words turn into slow glances. Power plays turn personal. And soon, the only thing more dangerous than their rivalry... is what might happen if it stops. [wlw]
