This story follows Yin, a detective in the Crime Investigation Unit, and his ex War, who returns to work in the same bureau as a forensic artist five years after their painful breakup. The cause of their breakup: War, a prodigy in his field with an uncanny ability to capture even the smallest details through his art, had unknowingly played a role in the murder of Yin's mentor and partner, Captain Su Lin. War had accepted a commission to create an age progression sketch of Captain Su Lin for a stranger, unknowingly assisting someone targeting the undercover agent. Now, forced to work together, Yin and War must solve their unresolved emotions and buried tensions as they delve into new cases, with Captain Su Lin's tragic death still haunting them both.
