"We can't keep doing this," I chuckle, my words muffled slightly against his lips. It's a laugh of disbelief, mostly at myself, because here I am again. He pulls back, his hand sliding into my hair as if that's going to magically solve anything. "Why not?" he asks, his voice low and entirely too charming for my liking.
