Not wanting to be just another dead girl Beth asks Daryl to teach her how to survive in this new world. Working together he brings her to life and gives her the confidence she needs. She gives him love and a calm that he didn't know he needed. Together they balance each other with the light and the dark. (My take on Beth if she had shown more sass early on. Personally I think her character could have been a great story to tell)

Every time Daryl leaves for a supply run, Rick can't help but contemplate if he should have told the youngest Dixon how he felt? Would he be rejected? Was it better to be rejected, or would it hurt more if he never truly knew how Daryl felt? Even in a world overrun by the dead, life is too short and Rick knows it's now or never. Daryl has to know how Rick feels about him, and Rick has to do what he's been avoiding for so long because you never know when it could be over.
