Book 2 of the 'Demigod in Gotham' Series When Nico moved to Gotham, all he wanted was to do good. He never asked to be adopted by Bruce Wayne. He never asked for Slade to come after him. He never asked to die. And more than anything else, he never asked to be revived. ---------- "I excused what you did with Slade, but you cannot continue to break rules and put yourself at risk-" Nico laughed. "Excused? You excused it?" Nightwing approached the table, probably knowing where this was going. "Demo-" The demigod ignored his brother. "Slade wanted to sell my people as slaves. Not only did he deserve to die, but he needed to." Bruce stood up, his hands on the table. "Slade's death was not your call and I respected that-" "No, you were forced to accept it because you couldn't stop me. You wanted me to spare him, just like every single one of your sons have up until that point, but how did that work out? When did Slade ever face justice for all the things he had done after they spared him? He deserved to die for everything he had done!" "It is not our place-" "Then thank f*ck that it actually was my place to do what you never could!" Bruce clenched his jaw. They stared at each other for a long moment before Bruce finally said, "We fight for justice, not vengeance. If you allow yourself to sink down to that place, you may never come back. It will kill you if you keep on fighting to avenge things that have not even happened yet" Nico stared at his father, the rage that had been boiling underneath his skin every second since he had woken up back in November began to break through the surface. He took off his domino mask and tossed it onto the table, making sure that Bruce had to look at his eyes-- the ones that no longer resembled the fourteen year old that Bruce had once asked to join his family. "Good thing I already died then." --------- daily updates @ 12:15 am EST (starting April 8th )

Nico had two goals when he moved to Gotham #1- help new demigods get to Camp #2- don't meet the Waynes He didn't have anything against the family, how could he when he was only told about them the day before he moved, but he had heard about the serial adoption of black haired kids. He already had a strained relationship with his father, he didn't need a second one. -------- As Nico sat in the park with the random boys he befriended, he finally felt normal. They didn't know who his father was; hell, they thought his father was dead. He was quite literally the most free he had been since Italy and even then, it was under Mussolini at the time so that was a bit of a stretch. The calm seemed universal throughout the group until Tim's phone rang. "Oh shit, it's Bruce." Immediately all of them were on alert scanning the surrounding area while Tim talked on the phone, panic in his eyes. "He was on the other side of the park for a walk between meetings and saw a picture of us walking in the park online," Tim said as soon as he hung up. "Wait wait wait" Nico said as Jason looked like he was preparing to literally throw him into the tree. "Bruce as in Bruce Wayne? You're the Wayne's?! And why are you acting like he's gonna shoot me on sight?" "He's gonna shoot adoption papers at you." Damian mumbled, once again begrudgingly reviving a high five from Tim and Dick. Jason just rolled his eyes as he made his hands a step for Nico to get in the tree. "Yes we're the Wayne's. How do you know of us, but not have a clue what we look like?" Nico climbed onto the lowest branch that was a good six feet off the ground. "I was technically homeless until a few months ago and just got a phone last month, sue me for never seeing a picture," he said in a whisper yell before continuing to scale the tree. -------- Daily updates at 12:15am EST

The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't. There are certain days that you know you will remember for the rest of your life-- the days where you made a decision that changed the trajectory of your life forever-- however Nico never thought that May 14, 2016 would be one of those days. To him, it had just been another day... and then Percy happened. "I think we should start a band," Percy said out of the blue. Nico shrugged. "Sure. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?" A Lot. They blew up. Their first album was No. 1 on Billboard's Catalog Albums chart for 15 consecutive weeks. Overnight, they became famous. They went from playing at CHB talent shows to filling out stadiums in the span of a few months. For 3 years they made music and toured... and then they didn't anymore. December 26, 2019, exactly 1,321 days after their band had been created, it was done. The media was in a frenzy, trying to figure out what happened, but no one ever said why. Everyone in the band moved on to their solo careers or joined a new band... except Nico. Nico just vanished. ------------- Mortal AU + Band AU

(Solangelo Royal AU) For nearly a decade, the Kingdoms of Old Olyum have been trapped in a brutal, unending war. The soldiers of the Allied Kingdoms-led by the Kings Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades-fight side by side to save their people and their way of life, but even the mightiest of kingdoms cannot fight forever. When the fate of the kingdoms rests on the shoulders of one who has already carried far too much, the line between sacrifice and self-destruction becomes razor thin. ------- "So you're resolved to do nothing?" Will said, staring at him like he were a stranger. "You know what happens to these people and your grand resolve is silence?" "I am resolved to live long enough for Hazel to become Queen," Nico said, standing back up with a collection of journals in his arms, crossing to the desk. "I am resolved to end the war so that my father might step down and pass the crown to my sister. She will make changes that neither of us ever could. She will lead us into an age of peace where personal liberties might be afforded." "So it falls to her?" Will said, crossing his arms and looking at Nico with a new look: disappointment. "I never took you for a coward." Nico froze, his jaw tightening as he slowly turned around to look at William, rage flaring in his chest. His voice was deadly calm as he spoke, his words chilling the blonde to the bone. "I am far braver than you will ever be. You sit in your golden castle and judge my homeland, but what have you ever done that meant a single thing? You have no idea what it takes to wake up every morning and choose to survive. You cannot understand the things I have sacrificed to stand before you today. I have built wall after wall to keep air in my lungs-carving away parts of myself with each and every breath I take. You were born into a gilded cage, but I was forged from iron. It is not cowardice that makes me wait, it is strength that you could never imagine."
