A blooming love between forest boy and sea girl, put together under bad circumstances. The story follows Lo'ak and Tsireya as their love for each other forms. This is going to be somewhat of a slow-burn, and attempt at giving us all what we wanted to see in the films but did not get!

Following the events of Avatar: The Way of Water, the reef clan is struggling to move forward after a devastating loss. Lo'ak bears the invisible burden of being the one who survived when his older brother Neteyam did not. Although his parents, Jake Sully and Neytiri, love him deeply, grief creates distance and painful silence. Lo'ak begins to believe that he is the reason everything went wrong. Unable to live with the guilt, he runs away and nearly loses his life in a violent ocean storm. Meanwhile, Tsireya, the daughter of Tonowari and Ronal, is dealing with her own trauma. A hunting trip ends in disaster when the brutal Akula attack kills Roxto and leaves her brother Ao'nung severely injured. Both teenagers survive tragedies that reshape their lives. They both carry guilt that does not belong to them. When fate brings Lo'ak back to the reef alive, the two wounded souls begin to recognise themselves in each other. Their connection grows quietly through shared conversations, sleepless nights and moments of honesty that remain unheard by others. This is not a story about being saved. It is a story about choosing to stay alive. It is about grief that does not disappear. It is about learning that sometimes the strongest form of love is simply refusing to leave someone alone in their darkest moments. 3/34 edited Started: 03/26/2026 Ended:? disclaimer: I do not own Avatar or any of its characters. Lo'ak understands his father's anger comes from a place of worry and it is not bad-natured, but it does not mean it hurts any less when his father's stare is so icy. Jake's attacks stop. He does not intend to traumatize his son - does not know that he already did. Lo'ak has always felt like a stranger even in his own family. He just wishes someone could see him for who he is. ... His naked feet thump gently against the ground as he moves swiftly, bow and arrows carried easily in his hands, like they always belonged there. He hurries along the familiar paths, smiling in delight at the many atokirina around him, twirling gently, lighting up the darkness of the night around him.

Just a bit of fun with some ships/smut and exploring some dynamics from Avatar. I'll write just about any ship (I hold no baises against any particular ships) and love creating a story/world building before the smut scenes, where we can really explore the characters dynamics and situation. Not all my chapters will have smutt (I do put notes in each chapter what the plot is, if it has sexual content and what type, so you can decide if you want to read it or not), for the fluff community and to further build up a story (some will be multiple chapters). I'm here for my beloved fandom freaks and the fluff community too, if you can't handle fandom behavior, certain ships, or certain situations my "books" clearly aren't for you ➡️🚪 Disclaimer All rights to the characters goes to James Cameron, I don't make anything off my work, I'm simply writing it for fun.

Four years of courting. Lo'ak is twenty. Tsireya is eighteen. His mating cord sits unfinished in their marui-the one he started weaving after his unilatron, two years ago. Every bead is chosen. Every shell is blessed. The centerpiece, the knot that would seal it, remains undone. He tells himself he's waiting for the right time. She tells herself she doesn't mind waiting. But Pril is six now and asks why Lo'ak still goes home to the Sully marui some nights. Tuk is eleven and has stopped having nightmares, but Lo'ak still checks her hammock before bed. Jake still counts heads. Neytiri still leaves Neteyam's space blank during body painting. And Lo'ak-Lo'ak has spent four years believing that mating means leaving. That taking Tsireya as his mate means letting go of something else. He cannot name what. He only knows his fingers stop every time he reaches for the final knot. The Week of Tides returns. Seven days of festivities, body paint, tournaments, and tradition. Traditionally, it is also when couples who have delayed-for grief, for duty, for fear-finally make their pledge before the clan and Eywa. Tonowari mentions this casually. Jake overhears. Two fathers, one awkward mission. But the problem was never that Lo'ak doesn't want her. The problem is that wanting her has never felt like enough of a reason to take her away from everything she's rebuilding. And the problem is that Tsireya has spent four years waiting for him to stop being afraid-and she is so tired of waiting. Four years. One week. The cord must be finished by the final night.

This fanfic is about Lo'ak primarily, all the characters are featured with their story's and arch's (of course) but is based on what would've happened if Lo'ak chose his knife instead of the gun that night on the beach and actually made an attempt... I don't think we got enough of that scene or reactions so this fanfic dives into that disclaimer (Lo'ak does not die) (neteyam is very much alive so is Ronal and Rotxo) ships: Tsireya x Lo'ak Neteyam x Aonung I don't own these characters at all they belong to James cameron!!!
