Its been two years since the marauders have graduated. James and Lily are married with a baby on the way, and Sirius and Peter are very busy with the Order. Meanwhile, Remus is just trying to survive his transitions in such a volatile time. No one wants to hire a werewolf, and the Order isn't well enough equipped to handle the full moons. Dumbledore offers him a position at the Hogwarts library as an assistant. There he can do research for the Order, as well as spend his moons like he did during his school years. Tessa Downing is a sixth year Hufflepuff. After a summer of chaos and hiding, she's having trouble transitioning back at school. Constantly worried about her muggle parents, Tessa's grades slip and she begins to spend more time at the library. Thankfully the new assistant is willing to help her. And it doesn't hurt that the young man is handsome. All original Harry Potter materials belong to jk Rowling. This is a slow burn, you have been warned 😉

I looked away quickly. He stood from his chair, walking closer to me. "Does it not hurt to chew on it all the time?" "No, it doesn't," I said, looking to my feet. It was too difficult to make eye contact with him, especially when he stood so close to me. "I don't touch my eyebrow," he said quietly. "I touch the scar." I nodded, feeling my mouth go dry. "We all have our quirks," he said. "And I feel yours is more destructive than mine, Miss Y/L/N." "It's not destructive, not really. I know what hurts and what doesn't," I rambled, peeking up at him, finding his eyes heavy on my face. I averted my eyes. "Look at you," he muttered. "You can't even look at me." I felt as though my entire body was trembling as his hand grazed mine. "I thought you weren't shy, Miss Y/L/N," he said quietly. ••• How do you describe perfection? Imperfections that you wouldn't mind dealing with for the rest of your life; ad infinitum. Y/N Y/L/N is the newest hire at Hogwarts. Immediately, she is drawn to the newest professor at Hogwarts, a kind if not sullen man. The job that she only took out of necessity becomes something that she wouldn't trade for anything. She'd do it forever if she could; ad infinitum. *** Thank you to @TheHalfbloodBlack for correcting the Latin titles!

mer·e·tri·cious: apparently attractive but having in reality no value or integrity. Spencer Artemis Venus, a seventh year Gryffindor, expected many things from her final year at Hogwarts. Her complicated relationship with Snape, getting hungover on fire whiskey and butter beer, going on Hogsmeade trips with her friends and playing quidditch. However, falling for her new defense against the dark arks teacher and becoming friends with the murderer on the loose was not something she expected. TW: will mention self-harm and mature themes
