„Tell me every terrible thing you did,
and let me love you anyway."
______________
Nobody expected a voice like hers to emerge from the wings, let alone with a spirit so sharp. The Opéra Populaire might have wished for a pretty face and voice with not much behind it, but what they got was Y/N.
The Phantom of the Opera is used to being feared. He is used to being avoided. What he is not used to is a woman who looks him in the eye and dismantles every law of his existence - the belief that he is fundamentally loathsome, and doomed to solitude.
In an era of stifling propriety, Y/N is the anomaly. She isn't a muse to be molded; she is his peer, and his most profound undoing. As it turns out, the only thing more dangerous than the Opera Ghost might be the woman who isn't afraid of him.
Disclaimer: AU where Christine does not exist. Y/N is somewhat in her place, but certainly handling things differently than her. Written with Ramin Karimloo (25th Anniversary) in mind as the Phantom. Also, I am taking the liberty to slightly change certain aspects (e.g. Eriks mask and deformity are more inspired by Ramin in Love Never Dies (Westend, 2010)). Also, updates may take a while as I take ages until I'm satisfied with my writing.
