It's Lyla's second year at nevermore and she's excited to start classes and see Enid and Wednesday again after a supposedly boring summer holiday. Her Mum is distant from her and her dad is out of the picture so she's learnt from her childhood to be the 'quiet' girl and only has a few close friends. Because of a work thing her mum drops her off at school 3 days early, Lyla takes it as a chance to unwind and decorate her dorm for the year, that's until she meets the new music teacher - Ms Capri.
