I advise you to read the first book "Maxine, not 'Cupcake' " as this is the second book of the series. Max is twenty one now. It's been 3 years since she last saw Henry. A lot of things changed in her life. She's in her last year of law school, she's a grown woman now, going after her career fiercely. Of course, some things stayed the same. Olive is still her best friend, her face still becomes a radioactive tomato when she's flustered and deep inside she never stopped loving Henry. I'm waiting to see how things go for our 21 year old heroine and what adventures she's going on.

Maxine is an unusual almost-eighteen-year-old teenager. In a few days she will finish 11th grade and begin summer break, the season she passionately despises. Although she has many interests and hobbies, boys have never fit into any of those categories. She prefers studying, reading or hanging out with her best friend instead. If she could, she would live alone somewhere in the mountains, anywhere really, as long as she wouldn't have to socialize as much as society expects a teenage girl to. Will this be the summer that changes her forever? Or will our heroine stand her ground against change? I suppose we'll find out together. Author's note: My books never begin with spice or drama in the first chapter. Not because I dislike the idea. Sometimes I enjoy reading those kinds of stories, where attraction is magnetic and consuming, and sex is portrayed as something accessible and definite. I want you to know that everything I write is pure fiction, perhaps with small details gathered from the stories of people who have passed through my life. Although I will remain anonymous, I will tell you something personal. In my everyday life, I have always let things form organically. I surrender to the currents of the "River" which is, in fact, life. Maybe I am selfish for applying this principle to my work as well, for "subjecting" my characters to a kind of restraint, often making them simmer with desire. But from experience, I stand by this idea: the most beautiful stories are born in their own time. I hope you enjoy my fiction as much as I enjoy writing it. ❤️
