Laly has always been one thing in North's life: constant. From awkward elementary school performances to late-night college gigs, the two have been inseparable best friends bound by years of friendship, shared playlists, and a love for music that kept them in the same band for as long as anyone could remember.
Romance was never part of the arrangement-or so Laly thought. As North jumped from one relationship to another, she somehow became both the reluctant cupid and emotional support system for his ex-girlfriends, collecting stories about his dating disasters like bonus tracks on an album she never asked to hear.
But when North's parents start pressuring him to finally bring home a serious girlfriend, he turns to the one person he knows he can trust: Laly. Pretending to be his girlfriend should be easy-they already know each other too well, after all. A few rehearsed sweet moments, convincing family dinners, maybe some hand-holding. Nothing they can't handle.
But how long can they keep pretending... before one of them finally admits that maybe this was never fake to begin with?
