Leon Kennedy isn't supposed to stay anywhere long enough to matter-between classified missions and a life built on disappearing before anything can attach itself to him, he's finally been placed off the grid and into temporary silence, laying low in an ordinary apartment complex until he's needed again. No threats, no orders, no reason to get involved. Just distance. That plan lasts exactly until he meets Y/N, a neighbor who's in her mid twenties who lives too openly, asks too many questions, and somehow keeps ending up in his orbit despite every instinct he has telling him to stay detached. What starts as coincidence slowly turns into routine, and routine begins to blur into something Leon has spent years avoiding-connection.
