New to New York City, the quirky artist, Camila Cabello finds out what it really means to shed light on someone. Especially when that someone is notorious blind girl, Lauren Jauregui. She's a mystery upon herself, and Camila is determined to break the mystery and hear her story. But she might do more than just that. Also, the cover for my story isn't mine. It's done by the amazing bows-n-beanies on tumblr. :)

Summary: Lauren Jauregui is an immigration lawyer for the state of New York. Camila Cabello is a Mexican/Cuban born "immigrant" trying to avoid deportation. Though a portion of her nationality is Cuban, she was born in Mexico and therefore is ineligible to receive permanent residence under the Cuban Adjustment Act. She researches and finds that she can get an adjustment of status if she marries a U.S. citizen, simultaneously ridding the possibility of deportation. It isn't set in stone but Camila is willing to give it a try.

On the night her best friend left for another state, Lauren expected to fall asleep, drowning in tears, when a charming stranger sends her a string of text messages confessing a long-standing crush. Every chapter will most likely contain more TEXTS MESSAGES than narrations. Okay? Go! PS: I always begin writing a chapter with dialogues and I thought, while you guys wait for the other stories to update, this would suffice for the times that I need a jump start to write heavy drama. This will be my outlet and this might not be as detailed as the others. (This was supposed to be situated at the end of my other stories' chapter updates but a certain Lion King character said this was a better idea. She's a big shot marketing b-word and she's supposed to be my "manager", and maybe I love her, too, so. Hahaha! If you still don't know, it's @meerkat93. SHE DID THE COVER, TOO!!!!)

3 P.M. - I loved her. She loved me. I fell harder and harder every day, and I knew it was dangerous. She was dangerous. Her kiss began to taste like vodka even when she hadn't been drinking and her nails dug into my skin like razors, but I loved her. 11 P.M. - The flick of a lighter. I saw the flame in her emerald eyes as they both burned. She took a hit and handed it to me. It touched my lips and tasted like her. I felt the chemicals in my lungs. Everything was spinning, but I still loved her. Midnight - The flash of lights. They blinded me. I couldn't find my shirt. My skin was still glistening with the trail from her tongue. Gunshots. One. Two. Three. Glass shattered. Handcuffs. White walls. Caught. I still loved her. I always would. WARNING: This story is Rated R for drugs, sexual content, and language. Reader discretion is advised.
