This story will continue from the original plot. I'm thinking about writing fluff AND smut too but I want to keep their character as much as possible so thats why I'm thinking of taking things a tiny bit slow. This is my first fanfic so don't expect anything big--- If you have any tips or suggestions please tell me!! I will be trying to update everyday!!

What if Light wasn't Kira? What if he was framed? // When 17 year-old Light Yagami, an aspiring detective, gets asked by his father, Soichiro Yagami, chief of the NPA, to join the investigation on the 'Kira' case (AKA the case that involves criminals suddenly dying at the hands [or book] of the one who is known only as Kira), he gladly accepts. But what happens when all evidence and suspicion point to him when he has done nothing? And what can he do when he starts to fall for the world's greatest detective, L? (L x Light, or Lawlight, although it doesn't happen until later chapters. trigger warning for chapter 17.)

Light was seven when he ran away from home. He was seven when he found a panda looking child. Light was seven when he was finally accepted for who he was. L was nine when he became the world's greatest detective. L was ten when he found a brown-haired child covered in dirt. L was ten when he made his first friend. AU: Light runs away from home and is found by L. This follows Light and L growing up together and then the Merikh Case (which follows the timeline of the Kira Case just a different name). Light uses the name of Kira when he is at Wammy's House so hence the rename.
