Welcome to St. Louis, 1927, in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic cats, where Prohibition is in effect, jazz pulses through the city's veins, liquid gold flows through dark alleys, and alliances are as fragile as the bottles smuggled across the streets. On one side, we have Lackadaisy: operating in the basement of the Little Daisy Café, a limestone speakeasy that refuses to die, kept alive by Mitzi May's unwavering faith in the memory of her husband, Atlas May, murdered the previous year. In the damp basement, the Calamity Trio - Rocky Rickaby, a violinist whose chaos hides a past of loss; Freckle McMurray, an anxious gunslinger who carries guilt like a second skin; and Ivy Pepper, a budding journalist caught between two worlds - struggles to survive as the gang crumbles amidst dust and debt. On the other side, the Marigold gang: operating from the luxurious Maribel Hotel, they are the newly declared rivals of the Lackadaisy, a glittering empire of gold and ambition, commanded by Asa Sweet, a boss who would do anything to protect what is his. The gang is an impregnable fortress, guarded by the radiant-smiling, sharp-locked heiress, Enid Sweet, and her elite team: the calculating assassin Mordecai Heller, the Bayou siblings of impeccable ferocity, Nicodeme and Serafine Savoy, and the poison expert chemist, Wisteria Castillo. With the city on the brink of irreversible conflict, an unexpected encounter at a public fountain unites two hearts that should be enemies. Now, what will happen when the chaos of the Lackadaisy and the discipline of the Marigold collide? The war between daisies and marigolds is only beginning, and not everyone will emerge unscathed. This work is intended for readers 16 years of age and older and contains themes, language, and scenes that may be considered inappropriate for minors! Based on the comics and animated pilot by Tracy J. Butler! This is a translation of my original fanfic in Brazillian Portuguese!

Welcome to St. Louis, 1927, in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic cats, where Prohibition is in effect, jazz pulses through the city's veins, liquid gold flows through dark alleys, and alliances are as fragile as the bottles smuggled across the streets. The war between the Lackadaisy gang and the Marigold gang is no longer what it seemed. Behind the smoke and bottles of bootlegged liquor, a third force emerges from the shadows: an army of thorns commanded by the lethal elegance of a "gardener" who wants to uproot what remains of St. Louis' underworld. On the Lackadaisy side, things couldn't be worse. The organization's leader, Mitzi May, balances on a tightrope between imminent bankruptcy and the emotional manipulation of the quarry magnate, Sedgewick Sable, a man too good for the world she inhabits. Meanwhile, the Calamity Trio falls apart: Rocky Rickaby suffers from a forbidden love that would cost him his life if discovered and fights with his own inner ghosts, Freckle McMurray carries the weight of having been killing mercilessly to protect his own, and Ivy Pepper finds herself torn between the double life of a college student and a gangster, vowing to keep secrets that could explode at any moment. On the other side, at Marigold, Asa Sweet celebrates the discovery of the true villain, but the theoretical victory doesn't stop the empire from bleeding. Enid Sweet now holds a monumental secret: her greatest love is the chaotic violinist her father wants dead. And, in the shadows, Mordecai Heller carries out a silent investigation alongside a truth that could unite or definitively destroy the two gangs. The stage is set, and truths will be told, masks will fall, and unlikely alliances will decide the fate of an entire city. This work is intended for readers 16 years of age and older and contains themes, language, and scenes that may be considered inappropriate for minors! Based on the comics and animated pilot by Tracy J. Butler!

[Lackadaisy x insert-fem. reader] [For days and even months, I have found myself immersed in my imagination, tirelessly envisioning the perfect book for a show entitled "Lackadaisy." The unrelenting pursuit to find such a book has consumed my thoughts, leaving me determined to take matters into my own hands. The longing to bring this story to life has grown so strong within me that I have decided to embark on the journey of creating it myself. This tale, predominantly based on the pilot, serves as an insert reader book, allowing readers to become an integral part of the narrative. I wholeheartedly hope that those who delve into its pages will find both joy and satisfaction, as the story unfolds before their very eyes.] [I do not own the film lackadaisy it all belongs and was created by American artist Tracy J. Butler.]
