Alisha rants to her cousin Riya (who also happens to be Simi's best friend) about how the arrogant famous guy ghosted her. Riya spies, connects the dots and wheedles Simi out of her ethics and they go hunting for the common link between Shubman and Ishan to ask a very important question: Has Abhishek heard of lavender marriages? Or does he need a higher altitude to know about them? And who better for lavenderly marrying a spineless donkey than an ace and Shubish advocate?

"Why steal brooms when you can steal a groom?" ~Sir Jadeja ~~~2023~~~ The ICT is tired of Shubman and Ishan's blindness and absolute inability to see what EVERYONE ELSE can: they're not *just best friends* who spend every moment of the day together, pine if they don't meet for three days and smile at each other all the damn time, they're *soulmates*, or rather, *visually impaired soulmates*. ~~~2027~~~ Suddenly Ishan wakes up four years later to a Bhojpuri song and Rishabh tells him that it's Shubman's wedding. Ishan doesn't remember when that happened. But yes. The ring, the fancy clothes, the family drama...everything's here. Shubman's getting married... and Ishan doesn't like it. But his team's right here to jump in to his rescue, steal a groom, and do everything...only the ICT can do.

Shubman looks at Ishan like he is the sun. Ishan would spend his life trying to douse out the light Shubman sees, if only he could identify it. Or, five times Shubman couldn't say it, five times Ishan heard it anyway and the one time they chose silence.

Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan really shouldn't have gotten so drunk and hooked up the night they win the T20 World Cup final because the consequences are disastrous...not least the fact that they can't stop double guessing their own feelings for each other.

Just a story about how you sometimes find love in the person you least expected, and yet it makes so much sense, you end up wondering why it took you so long... In other words, the story of Shubman and Ishan's journey from best friends to lovers.
