Marina Mendez just had to move to a new school. In Germany. In the middle of the school year. She rolled her eyes as she huffed out a breath, dragging her feet down the hallway, being late. She grabbed onto her classroom's doorknob and yanked it open unceremoniously. She stepped out in front of her classroom while her teacher just glared at her. She gave him a petty smile and introduced herself. She realized she probably wasn't giving the best first impression: she was dragging her bag by the strap and she was lazily shifting back and forth on her feet. As she looked around the class flippantly she crossed eyes with a fucking cute ass guy. Cute as in she forgot where she was for a sec. she quickly diverted her eyes and made her way to the only available seat. Coincidentally next to HIM. Great.

Aurora doesn't believe in second chances-especially not after loving someone who made her feel like the only real thing in his world... until he didn't. But when a quiet night leads her to a stranger with calloused hands and tired eyes, something shifts. Tom Kaulitz isn't looking for anything. Not love, not distraction-just silence. Until he meets a girl who wears her heartbreak like armor and speaks the same language of loss he's spent years trying to forget. What begins as two broken people sharing space becomes something neither of them expected. Quiet conversations in cars. Late-night phone calls. A slow-burn that feels like healing-until goodbye starts to look inevitable. They never meant to fall. But some things don't need permission to begin. A story about what lingers in the silence between people. About heartbreak, softness, and the kind of love that asks for nothing but changes everything.
