When Maximillion Pegasus decides to host a new tournament on Duelist Kingdom to discover his successor, Dargon Black is among many that join the qualifiers. When he wins his way onto Duelist Kingdom with his wife Keke, he meets other duelists that they become unlikely friends with such as Dino Lee and Nardin Crest. They soon discover something much darker is happening and the tournament has brought it all into the light.
