Izuku Midoriya has heard the same thing his entire life: "You could never become a hero." Born without a quirk, he was heavily bullied in middle school and was rejected from UA: the school he's tried so hard to get into. Determined to show that he can become a hero despite not being born with any special abilities, Izuku turns to research instead, hoping he will find a way for quirks to be obtained rather than inherited. During a tour at a research institute, izuku stumbles across a secret project involving spiders with quirk like abilities, and curiosity gets the best of him. When one of those spiders attaches itself to him, izukus life changes, for better or for worse, he has yet to find out. Living under the same roof as katsuki bakugo, his childhood best friend and enemy, izuku is forced to keep his secret identity from the other. But what happens when this Spider-Man katsuki starts to trust in, is really the same person he despises, izuku Midoriya.

After Izuku and his father get involved in a car accident when he was only fourteen, he finds himself paralyzed from the waist down and stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. With his father passing away in the crash, Izuku is raised through his teenage years by his mother, and he manages to get used to living with wheels. Although his disability keeps him from doing a few things, he still manages to live a decent life and make his way around with ease. However, his life changes when he accidentally runs into a person on the street, causing the tall man to spill his coffee. Izuku is the one to get splashed with the hot liquid, but still feels bad about the incident and offers to pay for the blond's coffee. The man is none other than Katsuki. Even though he's in a bit of a rush, on his way to work, he finds himself falling for a freckled guy in a wheelchair who was kind enough to buy him another drink.
