Everyone's acting like the best possible versions of themselves - Knife is gentle and soft-spoken, Taco and Pickle are happily together with no tension, and Balloon has completely dropped his desperate people-pleasing act. Even MePhone seems more stable and kind. At first, Lightbulb thinks this is amazing! All the conflict and drama that used to stress her out are gone. But something feels fundamentally wrong. The conversations are too polite, the smiles too consistent, and everyone keeps insisting they've "always been this way." When Lightbulb tries to bring up past arguments or drama, everyone looks at her with genuine confusion. "Lightbulb, why would you think Knife ever threatened anyone?" It's the beginning of season 2, and before MePhone4 can get started, Tissues goes missing. When he comes back, he's different... he looks... sicker than before.

"What, so she's just a dead weight to us now!?" "I never said that!" Everything is going just swell for Paintbrush. They're trying their best to survive their unforgiving world, while also looking for some sort of clue of what went wrong, while ALSO protecting their remaining friends with their life. Watching everyone they know slowly turn into zombies is eating away at their mental well-being, and fighting off said friends takes a lot more energy and effort than they'd like it to. The world is unbelievably grueling. But they have to stay strong. For their friends. Test Tube's not feeling too great. Her days are filled with wondering whether what she's seeing was made up by her mind to torture herself, or an actual terrible reality which she can't seem to face. She blames herself for every mishap, every problem, every mistake, constantly apologizing for things she wasn't even involved in. But she has to come to terms with the truth eventually, no matter the consequences. Fan is the group's detective, trying his best to piece together the truth for everyone. Although his theories are usually wild and just downright silly. But he's trying his best to solve the case, and that's a dangerous game to be playing. Lightbulb tries her best to comfort her friends, but she's already given up on them. She knows they're much too far gone to actually feel anything from her words, and at this point they're only barely living for themselves.

After MePhone4 mysteriously dissapeared, the remaining contestants were sent back to Hotel OJ. People picked up new interests, Fan became a famous internet blogger, Suitcase and Balloon became detectives, Test Tube continued her science experiments, ect ect... But what about Paintbrush? That *is* who this story is about, is it not? Yes yes, of course. How would we forget our beloved Paintbrush, famous across all of the seasons of II. What happened to them? Well, they started an art class, every wednesday they would help their students get better at painting. But soon enough, they found a new interest. Finger Painting. They loved how much control they had, they loved how easy it was to glide their finger against the canvas. One day, they accidentally spilt some blood onto their canvas. They tried to rub it away, but.. It felt good. Even better than paint. They loved the feeling of the blood against the canvas, rubbing into it and creating an amazing picture. How could they not like it? But they couldn't use it again, they could use a substitute.
