Kuch cheezein toot ke bhi judi rehti hain. Kuch log takleef dekar bhi woh hote hain jinhein tum dhundhte ho. Adarika Trivedi is very good at carrying things quietly. She has been doing it since she was eleven years old - carrying a feeling she called noticing, carrying pain she called fine, carrying a secret for five years that only two people in the entire world knew about. Vihaan Oberoi is the other person. When his sister is in a terrible accident and a carefully constructed lie is placed in his ear at exactly the right terrible moment - when he is broken and sleepless and full of grief with nowhere to put it - he makes the worst decision of his life. He goes to Adarika. He uses her father's reputation as leverage. He marries her in a temple at night with no family, no flowers, no love intended. And then he leaves her. Same night. With sindoor in her hair and a mangalsutra around her neck and seven sacred rounds between them that meant nothing to him and everything to her. Nobody knows they were ever married. Not his parents. Not her parents. Not her sister. Not his best friend. Not her best friend. Just two people. And the wreckage of one night. She leaves for Toronto the next week. Tells her parents it's a fellowship. Tells herself she is fine. Builds a life - slowly, painfully, piece by piece - in a city that received her without asking questions. Five years later she comes home. And he is still there. This is not a story about a man who deserves forgiveness easily. This is not a story about a woman who forgives quickly. This is the story of what happens after the breaking. The very long, very slow, very painful, very real road between - Tujhse hi tooti. Tujhse hi judi. Broken by you. Bound to you. "Main ne ek baar tumse pyaar karna chuna tha bina jaane. Ab main jaante hue chun rahi hoon. Aur yeh dono baar meri apni marzi thi." (I chose to love you once without knowing. Now I am choosing it knowing everything. And both times it was my own choice.)

"You didn't betray me, Yuv." Her voice was slow and calm. "I betrayed you." The AC hummed, cold air raising goosebumps on his arms. She didn't blink. "Did you ever stop to wonder why a girl who hated you agreed to marry you?" A laugh slipped out of her throat sharp, too sharp for the quiet room. "If you call yourself a manipulator, then remember whose daughter... and whose sister I am." The room went dead silent. You could hear the wall clock ticking, and their hearts thudding fast, out of sync. His jaw was clenched so tight a muscle jumped near his ear. "No... no. This is bullshit." His voice came out dark and steady, but his eyes weren't. They were glassy, barely holding it together. "Just say it, Kanika. Say that all of this is one big fucking lie." He was standing so close she could smell the cigarette on his jacket and the rain from outside still on his hair. One inch from breaking. But she laughed again shorter this time, and she looked away, fingers picking at the edge of her sleeve. "Yes, Yuv." She finally met his eyes. Cold. "It is a lie."

Some people believe nature is unpredictable. Violet Ontario does not. To her, everything has a pattern. Every anomaly can be traced, measured, and explained if you know where to look. That belief has carried her through years of study, flawless predictions, and now into one of the most prestigious research programs in the world. Aviline Tech's butterfly research initiative in southern Mexico is meant to be simple: observe migration patterns, document environmental change, and track a rare species thought to be disappearing from the cloud forests. But Violet does not believe in disappearance without reason. Paired with Ezra Vale, a researcher whose instincts seem to move faster than any data she trusts, Violet is forced into a partnership she never asked for and a landscape that refuses to behave like a system she can decode. Because in the forests of southern Mexico, the butterflies do not simply migrate. They arrive when they are not expected. They vanish when they should not. And the deeper Violet and Ezra go into the research grounds, the more the world begins to feel less like something to be studied... and more like something that is watching them back. Violet has spent her life believing control is just another form of understanding. But some things were never meant to be caught. Not even by science.
