“I’m going to get straight to the point. I want you to make me fall in love with you.” Camila Jones is fearless. She’s also uncontrollably fierce and overly ambitious which tends to be a bad combination. When she unexpectedly fails an audition due to her inability to express love, she’s forced to reconsider something she swore she would never do when she was a kid – fall in love. But where is a seventeen year old supposed to find a guy to fall in love with? Turns out, it might be a lot simpler than she thought.

Danika Wisher has a knack at getting herself into very strange situations. With hippie polygamist parents, an unfinished college degree, weird part-time jobs and promiscuous habits, her upbringing didn't exactly scream normal. So, when she meets Landon Armstrong-in a hospital wearing a puffy powder blue dress-she doesn't think too much of it. But when she keeps meeting him, time and time again, she can't help but think that maybe there's some greater forces working there. With her Wallstreet workaholic emotionally distant not-really-boyfriend-boyfriend, and Landon's own cold hearted contortionist ex-girlfriend, they're both emotionally unavailable in their own messed up way and in no place to be in any kind of relationship. But their unlikely friendship might bring them both something that they never had expected to find-their own stars.

Plan A might have been just as dangerous as the police insisted it was safe. It involved being locked away, out of sight and communication, and didn't solve the problem that Fran's stalkers seemed to have access to police files and data. Plan B the police didn't know about, and while the stalkers were at least temporarily out of the picture, it posed other problems. The police are now searching for her. Her stalkers are still looking for her. Her roommate doesn't know she's not a boy and a depressed teen movie star wants to be her friend. Being found out would blow her safety. Not to mention that the country thinks she might just be the victim -- or the cause -- of a spate of murders in the surrounding towns. Going to Darkwood private school was a risk, but not as risky as Plan A. The worry of trying to keep herself hidden from her schoolmates might become her main problem, but it still doesn't answer the most worrying question of all: just who were those stalkers, and what did they want? -- (Just so you all know, I've entered this book for the Hotkey Young Writers Prize. "Can you just give me the freaking chess piece?!" I gave up trying to be calm, and snapped at Nate with crossed arms. "Not until you get up there and sing." He smirked, a microphone extended towards me in his outstretched hand. Grumbling to myself, I took a calming breath. I pinched the bridge of my nose and counted to ten. Come on, do it for Spades. "Give me that mic." I muttered, snatching it from his hands. Avery was devastated when her best friend Spades moved. She dated, and tried to move on, but no one could replace him. After her breakup with her recent boyfriend she discovers a chess piece attached with a puzzle piece and a folded note. There is a silver of hope when she recognizes her best friend's writing. Will these pieces lead her to finding her best friend? Throw in a jock who Avery had sparked his interest, and a jeck who reminds her of Spades...
