Janice Wilcox is a 43 year old woman who's living in suburban town in Kansas City, working as a kindergarten teacher at rosewood elementary. She's in love with her 26 year old girlfriend Jackie Coleman who is a bartender at a restaurant where they met. Both Janice and Jackie are living together and they run through a lot of obstacles together as a couple. One with them being in a same sex relationship but also they have a 17 years of an age gap.
