When Zuko was marred by his father, a scar was not the only side effect. He was rendered completely blind. However, he does not let that hinder him. He still must capture the Avatar! Ever since the Agni Kai, Zuko's relationship with fire has changed. Once, it was his friend, a tool that he could use to impress his father. It was a part of him that he was immensely proud of. Now, things have changed... His own element took so much from him, so now he can't help but fear it. Normally he can control this weakness, but sometimes it gets the best of him... We all know and love the story of Avatar the last Airbender, but what if things were a little different? What if Prince Zuko was the Avatar? This simple question throws the entire Avatar world for a spin. Let's start with a summary shall we? With the disappearance of the avatar after the death of Avatar Roku, the world watched in horror as 3 more fell after him. The airbenders were all wiped out and so went the air nomad avatar. The southern water tribe had all of its benders taken and killed, along with the avatar of water. The earth kingdom has been sacked for decades by an onslaught of firebenders. On the battlefield, the firelord himself slew the avatar in vicious combat. Now the world has all but lost hope as a new Avatar has yet to be discovered anywhere in the world. Many believe that the cycle has ended, others believe that there was no Avatar. A new one would rise from the unlikeliest place possible, from the throne room of the firelord himself. (based on that tumblr au wherein zuko and iroh turn their ship into a traveling teahouse) the banished prince zuko takes on the identity of a common tea server to search for the hundred-year old avatar and to restore his honor. though eager to return to his old life, his time at sea has ushered in a new perspective, and in the midst of it all--indecisiveness, zhao, his sister azula, tea-serving--he finds himself the main target of the avatar and his friends.

AU where Aang was never the avatar, and the airbending avatar had died in the Fire Nation attack. The next two avatars also both died without consequence, no one even realising who they were until, 16 years ago, the Fire Prince was born as the avatar with no one realising. Read his story, his hardships and, in the end, how he will deal with his life...

A young, lost, scared Zuko finds himself alone in an Earth Kingdom forest and accidentally joins a gang of other kids fighting against the Fire Nation. He lives there for six years until the Avatar shows up at their hideout and end up getting recruited to help stop the war that his family had been razing across the world for over a hundred years. Or, Jet finds Zuko, takes care of him and recruited him into the Freedom Fighters. Plus, good dad Ozai, Fire Lady Ursa, evil Iroh and alive Lu Ten.
