Vi has to take care of her siblings so they don't go into foster care at 14 and manages to get to her senior year because things start to crumble. She's a year ahead taking advanced classes to hopefully get scholarships to get a degree to support her family but what happens when Caitlyn Kiramman an only child, fantasy-loving, book-loving girl transfers her senior year? Will Vi finally let someone else care for her the she does for her family or will she push them away?
