When Hunter awakes on the Havoc Marauder, in the past, he learns of their new mission to Kaller. But this time, he knows what will happen, and he will do whatever he must to keep his squad together. This time, he will not let Crosshair be lost to them. This time, he will not let Tech die. This time, he will not let Omega be taken. No one will ever be left behind again.

Slash was basically the "cut-throat" one of Clone Force 99. His motto was "slice and dice to pay the price", though with the Empire's rise, he has a feeling that line's gonna be dust in the wind. Especially with a kid tagging along for the ride.

Hunter has never been off Kamino before, no matter how confident he is that he and his squad are ready. Sure, they might age like natborns do, but they're still soldiers. They're capable. When the war ends, their fate becomes uncertain... until Omega warns them that the Kaminoans plan to decommission them to study their mutations. Desertion becomes the only option.

It's been months since the formation of the Empire. Months since Crosshair's life fell apart and was pieced back together with their new little sister. As the Bad Batch searches for a home amidst the chaos, for peace amidst themselves, an assassin picks up their trail, and there's only one place that can lead them - back to the Inquisitors. Until Order 66, when Crosshair turns on them for reasons they can't understand. And then Hunter starts dreaming of a little girl who is calling to him, begging for his help. Omega is their sister, and they won't leave her to die at Crosshair's hands.

Order 66 brought reality crashing back in, and it was a sharp reminder that even if they're vampires, that doesn't mean their newfound closeness is untouchable. All Hunter wants is to bring his family back together again, but with Crosshair hunting them down, and Tarkin aware of Hunter's Force sensitivity, it won't be easy.
