In the quiet ruins of post-war District 12, Peeta struggles to separate real memories from the lies the Capitol planted his mind. Katniss is drowning in grief and guilt of her own. Told from Peeta's POV, this fic follows them as they relearn what's real and what isn't-through flashbacks. This time, both Peeta and Katniss are trapped in the Capitol, and the star crossed lovers are put through a whole new level of hell. President Snow uses their relationship against them, district 13 tries to rescue them, and the rebellion still continues. What happens when the Mockingjay loses her wings? Does the rebellion still win, or are the Hunger Games here to stay?

Katniss Everdeen, Johanna Mason, Enobaria, and Annie Cresta are seemingly dead in the custody of the Capitol. They're being held prisoners, having God-knows-what done to them. Their strength will be tested. Their loyalty will be questioned. Their love will be jeopardized. How will Peeta deal with Katniss being held prisoner in the Capitol? How will the Rebels get her out?
