Once a upon a time there lived two lost lovers known as The Big Bad Wolf and The Little Mermaid but they are better known as Bigby Wolf and Nerissa. Bigby is the sheriff of Fabletown, where all the magical creatures from the magical Homelands have retreated to after the Exodus from their lands and it's his job to not only protect it's inhabitants but to insure security from the outside Mundane (Human) world. Nerissa is a poor girl who had to turn to prostitution just to keep from being broke but she made friends that made life bearable. One day a murder occurs in Fabletown and it's up to Bigby to solve this mystery before anything else happens but along the way he meets Nerissa who is involved but is unable to help her. Will he solve this mystery, protect the people he is sworn to and find true love along the way?
