Nixie is a water demon, and apparently it has just become her job to save her entire race from participating in a war that would destroy everything that she holds dear. Now, that wouldn't be a problem... if it wasn't so difficult. She'd have to work on that. But in the mean time Nixie has her hands full with friends and foes alike, and maybe even something more. Her safety is already on the line, but she has a good chance of succeeding in her mission. She's smart and agile, and has a whole team of experts behind her. When fugitive Valentina Linkin is offered a free trip to a tropical island, she takes up the offer without hesitation. Under no pressure to cut her vacation short, she hopes to enjoy the sun before starting her life over. However, the longer she stays, the more she finds strange things that can't be ignored: freak illnesses, terrible accidents, and people who never come back from the hospital. Ira Konstantinov admitted herself to the island hospital a year ago. Her life has never been a breeze, but she hit rock bottom when she was imprisoned and robbed of human sight. She waits in the darkness, trying to find her way above ground. There are horrors on this island - on the surface, underground in the labs, and within the inhabitants themselves. Linkin and Ira are different now, and science hates imperfections. A world in which eye color grants different powers; a world in which money and authority are dictated by the extent of those powers. Kyn Troyard resides in such a world, and he is a societal defect: his eyes are completely grey; he has no color. Living in the slums, he uses his wits to compensate for his lack of power as he attempts to protect the one person he cherishes in his world. His little brother. Little does he know, a series of events will spiral his life out of his control. Murders are occurring; disease is spreading; political factions from above are moving. And as for Kyn, he might just be playing a game of deception closely connected to upheaval of his world. A game that has rooted itself too deeply in disaster for him to pull out unscathed.

A collection of what I call "bored poems." These are the poems written while on long car journeys, during sleepless nights and above all when homework is due and the procrastination side of me takes over. It's called "It's getting dark" because for whatever reason, the poems that i write all seem to refer to lighting and the fading of light to dark. Perhaps it's due to the absence of dimmer lights that I always admired. Anyway, whatever caused it I hope you enjoy reading my classy poems. P.S. Amateur is just my style...
