My eyes flashed to his chest briefly, but unfortunately not briefly enough. Thank God for giving the six-foot-something manchild with daddy issues a six-pack and dimples. A grin tugged at Seb's lips as he moved closer. "You have to be crazy, or else you were serious about the four grand." "I was," he said. "I have a proposition." I laughed once. "No." "No? It's four grand, hear me out?" I didn't reply. I just looked at him. Sebastian King continued anyway. "You pretend to date me this summer, I pay you four thousand dollars cash." ── ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ── 𝙳𝙴𝚂𝙲𝚁𝙸𝙿𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽: Liana Burke takes a summer counsellor job at Camp Kingatoa because UBC is expensive and being poor doesn't come with a grace period. Meet Dawn 😐🖤 🔗😈🧠 and Faye 😋🎀 🌸💥🧠 The human versions of caffeinated raccoons with poor impulse control. Currently monetizing a haunted apartment. Most people run from haunted apartments. Dawn and Faye moved in on purpose. After getting evicted (for reasons that may or may not involve a séance, a fire alarm, and a oujia board), the twins find the perfect place: Room 404, Marlow Apartments. It has a certain reputation... Tenants don't stay. Lights flicker. Walls bleed. Something whispers at exactly 3:17 a.m. The ghosts expect screaming. Panic. Maybe tears. What they get instead is a camera in their face and: "Wait-can you do that again but slower? The lighting was bad." Within days, the haunting is no longer a tragedy. It's content. And when Dawn and Faye launch Ghost Hunters Inc., a paranormal investigation channel that treats actual spirits like mildly inconvenient coworkers, things spiral out of control faster than anyone-living or dead-can handle. Viewer discretion is advised. Not because of the ghosts. But because of the chaotic twins who are determined to turn everything into content and monetization. Could you handle them?

"I was trying to stop you from embarrassing yourself," he said quietly. "But you-" He ran a hand through his hair, frustration showing in his voice. "You always have to fight back. Always need to prove something." Meher looked at him, her eyes wide with disbelief. "You think I was trying to prove something? Do you hear yourself? Jin, I was just trying to live." Her voice cracked. "I was just trying to be me." Jin clenched his jaw. Why was this so hard? "Then maybe you should stop expecting everyone to get you," he said, his tone sharper than he meant. "Not everyone has to like you, Meher." She sucked in a breath, pain flashing across her face before she quickly hid it. "And what about you? You've made it clear that you don't like me either." Jin opened his mouth, then shut it. He should just say yes and end it here. That would be the smart thing to do. But he didn't. Because the truth was-he didn't hate her. He hated the way she made him feel. The way she made him see things he didn't want to deal with. The way she pushed him to face his own truth. He wanted to say it, but his pride held him back. So instead, he let out a hard breath and changed the subject. "Get up and come to the car. We have to go home." Meher gave a dry, cold laugh and shook her head. "See? You can't even deny it." Two strangers from two different worlds - one from the vibrant lanes of India, the other from the unforgiving spotlight of Korea's music industry. Neither was looking for the other. Neither was ready. But fate doesn't wait for readiness. Bound by their families yet divided by misunderstandings, their hearts clash and collide - love weaving itself between resentment and longing, leaving imprints neither of them asked for. When past wounds and hidden truths threaten to tear them apart, will they hold on to what they've become to each other - or let go of the only person who ever left a mark that mattered?

"Some stories aren't just written-they're survived." Heaven never planned to fall apart quietly. Nineteen was supposed to be her year of survival. Instead, it became the year everything unraveled-family, friendships, and the walls she built around her pain. Diagnosed with BPD, trapped between silence and screams, and carrying scars she thought no one could love, she was certain the world had forgotten her. Then came Chase-gentle, persistent, and painfully human. What began as an accidental connection in a library became the lifeline she never knew she needed. This is not a love story in the way you expect. It's about healing in slow, aching pieces. It's about therapy sessions, midnight breakdowns, found family, and daring to believe in something softer. It's about what happens when you stop surviving and start living. And maybe, just maybe-find someone worth fighting your way back for. Raw. Real. Relatable. If you've ever been on the edge of something-grief, love, adulthood, or your own mind-this book is for you. ---
