Blows were traded again, but Eddie could see Menace was slowing. He seemed to be favoring one leg, skin pale. Eddie frowned, unease trickling into his chest. This mans build was familiar. Did he know him? Menace landed two solid punches to the other guys face, another to the gut. The man stumbled back a bit before baring his teeth, feinting a hit before clocking Menace right across the jaw. Menace's face snapped to the side and Eddies stomach lurched. He knew those eyes. ~~~~~~~~~ Bucks been back to work for three weeks after dropping the lawsuit, but nothing has gotten better. He decides to fall back to an old habit he had in Georgia, street fighting. he gets paired with someone who seems extra angry. his savior is someone he didn't expect to care.

A sudden, bright flash had him flinching, a red hot burning entering his hands. Sparks flew as he was flung back, his hands and chest burning as he landed hard on his back. His heart beat was loud in his ears, audible under the ringing daze as his head spun. One, and a two, and a three... He rolled over with a groan, scrambling for his helmet. He got it on and looked up, breath catching at the sight of Buck hanging motionless from the ladder. "Buck!" Or Eddie got struck by the same bolt of lightning that stopped Buck's heart. And now he's finding emotions filling his chest every time he touches Buck. But they're not his emotions, so what the hell is going on?

Buck wanted to go home. He wanted nothing more than to be back with his family and to go home. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Then, things get even worse somehow when he and the rest of the team get sent to see Dr. Wells after a particularly rough call.
