Spirit is Lord Death's Death Scythe. Dr. Stein your typical crazy scientist. You wouldn't think that these two guys have anything in common, but they do. See Stein used to be Spirit's meister. Stein has been known to do a few 'minor' operation's on his weapon. Stein used to be completely consumed with madness, until he meet Spirit. Spirit is a scythe and wanted a world where there was no God. He came to Death City where he meet his wife but cheated on her and she left. Spirit of course has a daughter, Maka, who doesn't really like him. After his wife/meister left he went to Stein. Stein then made Spirit Lord Death's personal Death Scythe. But are they really just friends? Stein's 'craziness' was under control when he was paired with Spirit. So does that mean they have a deeper connection?
