*** Winner of the WattPad GoT Fan-Fiction Contest 2018 *** "They call me the Blood Rose, Ser. If you wish to know why, then come." Ser Merwyn Bramble is honoured to accept the white cloak of the Queensguard from his old friend Queen Cersei Lannister, but his duty will come at a price. The Sons of Balerion, a Targaryen loyalist faction, wage a new war on the streets of King's Landing, burning nobles alive and threatening all that Cersei holds dear. Ser Merwyn's first official appointment is to head-up a band of four assassins, tasked with uncovering the Sons of Balerion and reminding them that a Lannister always pays her debts. In a city that punishes the just and breaks the weak, Ser Merwyn must adapt to carry his own weight. No easy task, when the white cloak is on your back. *********** Entry for the Game of Thrones Fan-Fiction contest. The prompt was the Game of Thrones show, so this story is set almost immediately after where the show has ended (season 7). I've tried to blend aspects from the ASOIAF books as well, as I really couldn't help myself. Though the MC is entirely fictional (as are members of his supporting cast), there are a host of George R.R Martin's characters in the piece, and I've tried to make locations, scenes and settings as realistic as possible from within the ASOIAF world. I was bound to an 8K word limit, so bear that in mind when tackling this. Other than that, I hope you enjoy.

** WATTYS 2018 WINNER ** Not one person in the history of the world ever said being Deathsworn was an easy thing. Fun, sometimes, and completely your fault, but never easy. You have one rule that you obey, unless, of course, you want to die. Your life is your list, your list is your life. For the Gallowmen, their journey as Deathsworn has seen them travel the broken realm of Oblivia. From Green Country to the Island Kingdoms, from Sand Country to the Scavania. Death follows where they go, their list gets shorter, and the dream of life becomes half-real. It would be fine if things were that simple. But curious things are happening in the west and the Burned Priests are charged with confronting the Empire's greatest threats. Where they point, the Deathsworn must go. They'll do their job, ask no questions, and get their freedom. Or they'll die trying. *Deathsworn is a spin-off story from a much larger trilogy I'm currently writing. Comments/reviews/feedback would be greatly appreciated wherever possible. Volume I of IV is COMPLETE ... Enjoy.
