The story follows Dev and Sonakshi in the ITV show Kuch Rang Pyaar ke Aise Bhi Season 3, after Sona's outburst regarding Dev's absence during Asha's death at the counselor's office. The lack of details regarding this significant event in their lives by the show's writers left me looking for an explanation on my own. This story will follow the canon track of his absence, but I want to consider more details, thus giving us fans a better clarity and understanding of the events.

What if Sonakshi went back after that disastrous evening of engagement, got engaged and married to Ritwick after all? Five years on, what does life hold in store for Dev and Sona? This is a fictional story, that follows the lead characters of the Indian TV show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, Dev and Sonakshi, post ep 142 in the show.
