She knows she shouldn't, that she should've moved on, but convincing herself that it meant nothing would be a lie. Sophie Foster is now 17 with her boyfriend Fitz by her every side. It was a safe choice, one everyone expected her to do, she didn't foster it this time. A week after Sophie and Keefe's kiss and confession, all Sophie wanted to do was run to him, but with pressure from others about Fitz. The kiss that meant everything got buried deep and Sophie was eventually pushed into a relationship with Fitz. In theory this should be the perfect couple, the Moonlark and a Vacker, but on the inside it's not. Not cause of anything they ever did, but because Sophie still loves Keefe and she is just afraid to face it. But an opportunity comes, a marriage law for everyone over 16 to the ones they love most, hoping for more Elves due to the shrinkage of population after the Neverseen hit hard a year back. Secrets buried deep are threatening to spill, and while others panic, Sophie hopes this is the way to a life she's always wanted but was never brave to have, but that will only happen if Keefe still loves her, and that's a long shot after 2 years. This is a Keeper of the Lost Cities fanfiction that takes place right after Exile. I've read all of the books, but I didn't want to place it after Neverseen because Sophie's life is in too much danger then to make this work well. In this story, Sophie gets invited over to Everglen by Biana for a sleepover and Keefe gets invited by Fitz. Then when Sophie slips up and mentions a human game, all chaos breaks loose... --------------------- Please read, I hope to do a good job at it! I know there are other stories like this but I just wanted to try writing a fanfiction and this seemed easy and fun to do. Pairings (if any) are Sophitz and Keefiana.
