As a Senior at Midtown High, Y/n prided himself on being a quiet observer, blending into the background while secretly dreaming of being something greater. In a world filled with extraordinary heroes, he was content to admire them from afar, believing their world was beyond his reach. Everything changed on a seemingly ordinary school day. As he walked through Midtown High's halls, flashes of glowing light appeared in the corner of his vision-illusions that no one else seemed to notice. He began to feel a hum beneath his skin when he passed certain places, like the energy of the world was alive and responding to him. Books flipped open on their own, lightbulbs flickered as he passed, and faint glyphs glowed on surfaces where he lingered too long.
