The Collector is gone, Belos is dead. The Boiling Isles are reeling from the violent aftermath of the Emperor's onslaught. Darius has taken Hunter in as his caretaker. Camila, Luz, Amity, Hunter, Gus, and Willow return to the Boiling Isles to find things are a bit messy. Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, search for ways to defeat the Collector while also trying to identify the people spreading rumours that the Day of Unity was a benevolent spell gone wrong. Eda, Lilith, Steve, and Hooty try to pick up the pieces of their lives and find a way to bring King home. When Camila and the teenagers reveal that Belos is, unfortunately, not dead, the mission shifts and it's all-hands-on-deck to figure out where he's hiding, what his next move is, and if they can get to him before he decides to strike. In the process, Hunter has to grapple with who (and what) he is and his friends are determined to help him reach his goals of learning magic, attending Hexside, and coping with not only the death of his beloved Flapjack, but all the traumatic events he's endured (including, but not limited to, near death experiences, being raised in relative isolation by Belos, and watching the only parental figure he had for most of his life splatted on a wall). Through it all, they build their family, help Hunter learn he can choose his own future, and discover how lucky they are to have found one another.

The Hexsquad's summer spent in the human realm. This fanfiction is my own personal headcanon (with bits of true canon) of what the hexsquad did while they were trapped in the human realm. Hunter isn't a normal kid, but what does he know about normal? His normal is one of isolation, anxiety, and a considerably bad sleeping schedule. Amity Blight knows how that feels, but her normal has changed, the question is, will she be able to help Hunter's normal change too? What if Hunter excepted the hand given to him back at eclipse lake? How different would the story be?

After the Day of Unity, Luz is finally back home, and things have been going okay. After a few months of work, the group just need some Titan's blood to make a new portal door. After a doctors visit that revealed something strange going on in Luz's chest, her friends found the Titan's blood and a portal back is assembled. Luz, Amity, Hunter, Gus, and Willow all return to the Isles, finding it extremely changed from how it was when they left. And Luz soon finds something changed with her too. Luz had a big party planned for her first Christmas on the Boiling Isles, but a poorly-timed snow plague has destroyed her dreams for a perfect holiday. When she ventures out into the storm to help a friend, however, she learns Bonesborough is more at risk than she realized.
