Violet thought moving to Sydney would be the start of her real life. Independence. Adventure. Maybe even a little romance. Instead, she gets him. Her new roommate is infuriating, sharp-tongued, and impossible to read. One day he's helping her carry groceries, the next he barely looks at her. Every time Violet thinks she's getting closer to understanding him, he shuts her out again - like letting someone in is the one thing he refuses to do. He keeps his distance. Keeps his secrets. And every step she takes toward him only seems to make him retreat twice as far. So why does he always notice when something's wrong? Why does he show up when she needs someone most? And why does the tension between them feel less like hate... and more like something neither of them dares to name? In a city full of strangers, Violet might have just met the one person she can't reach. Or the one person she won't be able to walk away from.

AU: evil luke hemmings is an annoying customer A year ago Sadie moved 400km away from home, together with her best friend Calum who works in music production. Sadie now works as a pool manager at this nature pool for rich people. She doesn't necessarily really like her job but it pays well, very well. And she needs the money, so maybe that's why she took up the earliest shift when no one of her co workers would. Everyday at 5.55am, five minutes pre opening of the pool, there's this dark curly haired customer already waiting at the gate to be let in. Sadie also doesn't necessarily like this customer, she thinks he's a bit of a brat, honestly. Who in their right mind goes swimming for about an hour and a half at this most unreasonable time of the day? Luckily she can share her complaints with her best friend. > this story is also on ao3 by sincewerealone (still me, but a different username)

Luke Hemmings has met hundreds of people on tour. Most of them want something from him. Phoebe Hayes doesn't. She's the band's new photographer-quiet, sarcastic, and completely unimpressed by fame. She keeps her head down, does her job, and somehow manages to treat one of the world's biggest rock stars like he's just another guy. Luke can't figure her out. Phoebe doesn't want him to. But months on the road have a way of blurring lines, and somewhere between airport lounges, backstage hallways, and cities they'll never see again, friendship starts turning into something far more dangerous. A slow-burn tour romance where Luke falls first, everyone notices, and Phoebe is the last person to realize it.
