Kenric couldn't forget the flames. Burning him over and over. But it was only a dream. Right? Kenric suffers from chronic, recurring nightmares that seem more real after each night. One night, he wakes up and Oralie visits him. After hearing about his dreams, she helps him fall asleep by singing him a song.

In Lodestar, the Council claimed they had a splotching match to see who's the best at telekinesis. As Emery said in book 5, "We had our own Splotching match of sorts to test it out before we came here today-but that's a story for another time."
