Freya thought she had finally found her forever.
Six months into living together, she and Malachi are happier than they've ever been. They're building a life, working side by side, and trying to believe that this time, love will be enough.
But Malachi is struggling again.
His mental health gets worse. His panic attacks return. His mother starts coming over more and more. And slowly, without either of them realizing it, their relationship changes.
Freya stops feeling like his girlfriend.
She starts feeling like his caretaker.
Like his mother.
Like she's responsible for keeping him okay.
And she's terrified that leaving him will destroy him.
So she stays.
Even when she's exhausted.
Even when she's lonely.
Even when she doesn't recognize their relationship anymore.
Until eventually, something has to break.
And when it does, Freya goes home to London, falls apart on her mother's floor, and begins writing the songs that will become the most honest music she's ever released.
An entire album about loving someone who hurt her.
About wishing he had changed.
About realizing she couldn't save him.
About finally admitting:
she made it out.
A year later, everything is different.
Freya is on the Made It Out Tour, living a life she built without him.
Malachi is healing too- through therapy, acting, friendships, and finally learning how to be happy without depending on her.
Then they see each other again.
And the hardest part isn't realizing they still love each other.
It's realizing that they always will.
Because sometimes two people can love each other deeply, romantically, completely...
and still know they aren't meant to be together.
This is the story of losing each other, finding yourselves, and learning that love doesn't always mean staying.
So who are they without eachother?
