"What about me?"
Noel has always been a quiet observer - watching from the shadows, staying in the background, never asking for more than a moment of Sua's time. He's seen her pain. He's heard her sing. He knows she's planning to die on that stage so Mizi can live. Normally he doesn't butt in because he respects Sua's relationship with Mizi, but this... this is too much.
He refuses to let that happen.
This is an alternate ending to Alien Stage where love doesn't have to end in tragedy - and sometimes, the person who saves you isn't the one you expected.
This story explores themes of mental health, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and recovery. Please take care of yourself while reading. If you need support, reach out to someone you trust.
This story also explores relationships and character dynamics that may not align with the original intentions of Alien Stage's creators (Vivinos and Qmeng). and thus does NOT follow the canon romantic arcs as endgame. I have the deepest respect for their work and their vision - this is my own interpretation, born from a love of the characters, a plot that could have been, and a desire to explore an alternate path.
Specifically, this fic does not follow the canon romantic arcs of Mizi and Sua as endgame. Instead, it focuses on healing, growth, and the idea that love can take different forms over time - including unexpected ones.
This is not meant to erase or invalidate any ship, identity, or reading of the source material. It's just one fan's take on a "what if" scenario. Happy Pride, as this was written and posted during Pride Month 2026
Thank you for reading with an open mind.
