Peter is alone, isolated, and questioning his moral code. Meanwhile, New York's criminal underworld descends into chaos. Hammerhead desperately tries to fill the power vacuum left by Norman, but is quickly outmaneuvered. This chaos attracts the attention of the city's true criminal mastermind: Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. Tired of the ineffectiveness of previous ''Big Men'', Fisk begins to consolidate his empire through brutal force and impeccable strategy, sending enforcers to pacify the streets and announce his rise.

Thankfully, it manages to turn around when he finds a diamond, a very attractive mutant diamond known as Emma Frost. With Frost International/The Hellfire Club and Parker Industries working together, the two CEO's being to bond with their shared hobby of punching bad guys in the face and fighting for what they believe is right. They become much closer than simply super business partners.
